This gives you space to have your own emotional reactions first and get the support you need.
Be gentle with yourself.
Hearing children speak honestly about divorce can bring up strong or unexpected emotions.
Take time to process what comes up — write in a journal, take a walk, or talk with a trusted friend or therapist.
